  1. You can now travel to more destinations from The Manchester-Boston Regional airport. The airport celebrated new nonstop American Airlines flights from MHT to Chicago-O'Hare (ORD) with a "water salute" of an American Airlines plane on the runway. American also added nonstop flights to Charlotte on larger Airbus 319 planes. American wasn't the only carrier with expanded service. United Airlines added a new flight to Newark (EWR), airport officials said. (Manchester Ink Link)
  2. The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire is participating in New Hampshire Gives on June 7 and 8 to help raise needed funds that will directly benefit the pets they care for. The ARLNH is a nonprofit that helps more than 2,000 cats, dogs, and small animals each year, they said on their website. The ARLNH was founded in 1902 and incorporated in 1904. They opened its first shelter in 1942 in Goffstown in a renovated house, and in 1998, they open a new facility in Bedford. The ARNL offers outreach programs including a Pet Food Pantry and Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinics, with many services available to all New Hampshire residents. (NH Gives)
  3. Saint Anselm College officials announced plans for a new a new state-of-the-art nursing facility, The School of Nursing and Health Professions. The announcement followed recommendations by the Presidential Nursing Commission, the nursing department and faculty leadership. The new 40,000- to 50,000-square foot, $20 to $25 million facility will have new nursing simulation labs, high-fidelity patient simulators, classrooms, office space, and other features for undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs in nursing and health professions, University officials said.
