Here are the top stories in Bedford today:

1. New PFA contamination has been detected in wells in Amherst, New Hampshire. Officials believe the source of the contamination was firefighting foam, although "the town stopped using that foam 22 years ago." For years, PFAS has been a concern for Bedford residents after chemicals from the Saint Gobain Plastics plant permanently contaminated groundwater, the source of well drinking water, with the "forever" chemicals in Merrimack, Bedford, and surrounding communities. The Amherst homes where the PFAS contamination was found are a few streets away from the town's fire department. The chemical was detected "when a neighbor decided to get their water tested." 2. What's new at the Mini dealership in Bedford, New Hampshire? The Mini car dealership on South River Road is part of the Lyon-Waugh Auto Group that announced they selected Mobile Dealer, "the nation's leading dealer mobile app developer for car dealerships and auto groups," to launch a new app for their auto dealerships that will "enhance the customer experience and enable customers to better engage with their family of dealerships in sales, service, parts and F&I." 3. It's time to be creative this summer! Check out the summer drawing programs at The Bedford Public Library. "Drawing Under The Sea" is offered on Mondays for children 6-9 years old, and for the 8-12 age group, the Library is offering "Zen Under the Sea," on Wednesdays.
