Here's a glance at five fun local activities to fill this beautiful first weekend of June!
1. Family Fun Day! Manchester Christian Church is kicking off summer with a free Family Fun Day at its Bedford campus. The event will feature bounce houses, a batting cage, face painting, games, food, and even a visit from NH Fisher Cats' mascot Fungo. All are invited to attend the fun from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 56 Old Bedford Road. For more information, click here.
2. Shoutout for strawberries! The fourth-annual Bedford Strawberry Festival, organized by the Friends of Town of Bedford Cemeteries, is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the athletic fields near the performance state at the Bedford Memorial Pool on County Road. In addition to exhibitors from local service organizations and town entities, there will be local artists and craftsman, face painting and, of course, a strawberry shortcake eating contest to benefit the Stevens-Busewell School project.
3. Save the farm! The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill is holding a "Save the Farm Gala Auction at the Bedford Village Inn at 6 p.m. Sunday. The event features live and silent auctions (including the opportunity to obtain an autographed Tom Brady Jersey!), hors d'oeuvers, life music, a cash bar and raffles.
