Peter Woodbury School Announces New Assistant Principal
School board reaches outside the district to secure next PWS assistant principal.

The Bedford School Board, today, announced that it has selected Daniel Mitchell as the next assistant principal of the Peter Woodbury Elementary School.
Mitchell has served as the assistant principal at the Adeline C. Marston Elementary School in Hampton since July 2010.
Prior, he was employed as a third-, fourth- and fifth-grade teacher at the Heron Pond Elementary School in Milford, from 2006-2010, and a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher at St. John’s Regional School in Concord, from 2002-2006.

Mitchell, who graduated Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine, Magna Cum Laude in Elementary Education in 2002, also earned a Masters of Education in Education Administration from the University of New Hampshire in 2009.
“I am looking forward to Dan Mitchell joining our Peter Woodbury School family," said Peter Woodbury Elementary School principal-elect Cheryl Daley. "Mr. Mitchell's previous experience, professional traits, and personal character will enhance our school's efforts in striving towards our school motto to 'Believe, Achieve and Succeed.'”

The assistant principal position became vacant when Daley was chosen to replace longtime PWS mentor Ken Williams, who is retiring after 24 years in Bedford.
Mitchell is scheduled to begin his duties as assistant principal on July 1, 2013.
