Police: Driver Arrested For DUI And Endangering Children In Crash

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester arrested a woman on charges of endangering children and driving under the influence Tuesday night after a crash.

Manchester fire, AMR ambulance, and police responded to the area of Second St and Walker St. Tuesday for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

When crews arrived they found a utility pole broken in two pieces, wires down, and a heavily damaged vehicle against a fence.

Fire and EMS began evaluating several people in the vehicle including an adult female and three children. The children were crying according to police and were removed from the vehicle for treatment.

Manchester police identified the driver as Lizania Joseph, 24. MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel said Joseph was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The children were taken to the Elliot Hospital for evaluation, but none suffered serious injuries.

Joseph was released on PR bail and is scheduled for arraignment in October.
