1. A shout out to Rise Private Wealth Management of Bedford, New Hampshire. The financial planning firm won an award as one of the top 10 “Charitable Champions.” Rise Private Wealth Management is part of Ameriprise Financial, and has 62 employees, including 25 advisors, across eight offices. 2. What do Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman have in common? These famous comedians are are two of the biggest names in Hollywood. Y., but moved to Manchester when he was 6 years old, and Sarah Silverman is from New Hampshire. She was born in Bedford and raised in Manchester. 3. With a hot real estate market during the pandemic, one local real estate company decided to use a franchise-based model to grow their company. Peter and Rebecca Beauchemin of Bedford introduced Realty ONE Group, a California-based franchise model to southern New Hampshire. They have grown from 17 agents in September of 2020, to 50 agents in May of this year. Their office headquarters is in Bedford, with offices in Portsmouth, Concord and Nashua. • The June 14 Full "Strawberry" Moon: The full moon Tuesday night will look unusually bright and is larger than most full moons. It's a supermoon, which means it will be closer to the earth than any other time. The strawberry moon gets its name from the Algonquin Native American tribe "and refers to the region's strawberry harvesting season," (but not the actual color of the moon), said NHPR.
