- Flights from Orlando arrived at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Tuesday as people evacuated from the path of Hurricane Ian. As many passengers arrived, some volunteers left and flew south to help the Red Cross prepare for the storm. Some travelers who landed in Manchester said they'd already planned to visit New England, while others fled the storm's path as it barreled toward Florida's West Coast before Orlando International Airport was scheduled to close on Wednesday. Traveler Belinda Schwartz said she's worried about the home she left behind, adding, "It's definitely stressful leaving everything as it's happening." (WMUR)
- There's only one more day until the Craftworker's Guild Harvest Fair opens. It's called a "one-stop shopping experience with handcrafted items for everyone." You will find everything from unique and handmade fashion accessories to fiber and fabric crafts, art glass, fine art photography, gourmet treats, crochet blankets, quilts, candles, soap and more. The Harvest Fair will be open from Sept. 29 - Oct 10 at 5 Meeting House Road in Bedford, and online. (The Craftworkers' Guild via Facebook)
- Boo! "Celebrate the spookiest season with October's Cinema Sunday" at the Bedford Public Library. The free movie will be the 1922 silent vampire classic, Nosferatu, showing on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1:30 p.m. "The revolutionary appearance of the film helped define the look of movies for generations," according to the BPL.
