The plane, a single-engine, caught a section of woods on fire after it crashed in the area of Reed Drive near Technology Drive, not far from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

There are injuries, possibly deaths, connected to the crash. Initially, officials were reporting at least two dead and possibly five passengers or a five-passenger plane. That is unconfirmed at post time.
A small airplane is down and on fire on the Bedford side of the Merrimack River, just shy of the runway at KMHT.

The New Hampshire State Medical Examiner has been called to the crash scene, according to scanner chatter.
