3. A snowstorm is headed our way Friday, and travelers are on alert. School vacation will be ending in Massachusetts this weekend, and starting in New Hampshire, which means many travelers will be driving or flying in and out of the state. WMUR forecasters are predicting between 6 to 12 inches of snow to fall in southern New Hampshire throughout the day Friday. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Director Ted Kitchens said that individual airlines will make their own decisions about canceling flights, but travelers who are scheduled to fly on Friday should "start thinking about alternative arrangements." Airport crews will make sure the airport is safe and remains open, he added. Travel conditions will be better on Thursday and Saturday, with clear weather expected on both days.
