  1. The Animal Rescue League of N.H. thanked Touchstone Farm "for giving our guy Otis a job he can really excel at!" Otis, an energetic black Labrador/Shepherd retriever, even posed for a photo. Touchstone Farm "hired" Otis through the ARLNH "Hire A Pet" program where a business features its new shelter pet "employee" with the hopes that they will find a home. Touchstone Farm in Lyndeborough is the home of the Horse Power and Pony Farm, a nonprofit horse farm offering educational and therapeutic partnerships between horses and people of varying abilities, ages, and backgrounds.   2. A shout out to Lorelai of Bedford High School, who collected donations for the Animal Rescue League of N.H. in Bedford as part of her senior project. She visited the shelter to drop off monetary donations she collected as well as blankets, food, and treats.   3. Will automated servers be coming to a restaurant near you? Segway Robotics presented its latest innovations in robotics to automate some of the functions at restaurants at the National Restaurant Association Show. Segway's lineup of robots introduced in Chicago included an outdoor delivery robot and a service robot designed for indoor meal delivery. "Given the rising costs and labor shortage, people are seeing lots of interest among restaurants for indoor service robots," the company said in a press release. Segway Robotics is a newly formed subsidiary of Segway-Ninebot Group, a global enterprise in the fields of intelligent short-distance transportation and service robots.   4. The Bedford Annual Memorial Weekend "Hometown Parade" will be on Sunday, May 29, at 1 p.m. Parade participants will gather at the Bedford High School parking lot. Then at 1 p.m., the parade will go down County Road, then up to Liberty Hill Road, and will end at McKelvie Intermediate School, where vendors will be set up on the school grounds with refreshments.
