Here are the top stories today in Bedford:

  1. Retired Army Gen. Don Bolduc may be leading in Republican polls in the latest St. Anselm College Survey Center poll, but Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) said he will not support him. “He’s not a serious candidate, he’s really not," Sununu said in an interview. Sununu said he might endorse a GOP Senate primary candidate, but he won’t back Bolduc, who he described as a “conspiracy-theory extremist." (Patch)
  2. If you happened to be driving on Twin Mountain in the White Mountains Sunday morning, and traffic was backed up, it may have been because of two loose cows. State troopers from Troop F stopped traffic to escort the two loose cows to safety. A WMUR local user saw the pair running along the road and submitted a picture. (WMUR)
  3. "Be safe and aware when enjoying the state's rivers, beaches and lakes," the State Police Marine Patrol Unit announced in a recent statement. Two men died Saturday in water-related incidents in New Hampshire. A 19-year-old Methuen, Massachusetts, man swimming near Profile Falls in Bristol was pulled under the water, "and did not resurface on his own. And a 71-year-old kayaker from Beverly, Massachusetts, was found unresponsive in the water on Conner Pond in Ossipee. Officials said if you are going in the water to remember that conditions can change quickly, and to always wear a life jacket. (WMUR)
