Here are the top stories today in Bedford:

  1. We had spring-like weather on Wednesday, but winter is retuning. Wednesday started in the 50s, with temperatures reaching the low 60s by the afternoon. Forecasters say that temperatures have been as warm as 70 in December, January and February only 15 times as long as records have been kept in Boston. Almost half of the record-breaking temperatures have happened since 2001, officials said. But don't trade your snow shovel for a beach umbrella just yet. Up to foot of snow will be coming to Bedford on Friday. You can read the full story here: (NBC10 Boston)
  2. You can register to vote in Bedford or make changes to your existing registration before the March 8 Town Election on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 3 to 3:30 p.m. The Supervisors of the Checklist will be meeting to approve the additions, deletions, changes of name, address and party, and other updates to the voting checklist. The session is open to the public. You can read more about this story here: (Press Release Desk)
  3. A voting question is on the ballot about allowing Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health to create a new health care center in Bedford. Signs have appeared on Route 101 and 114 opposing the plan. Bedford residents will vote on Zoning Amendment 3 that would limit medical clinics in the town’s "Performance Zone" to no more than two stories with a total building size not to exceed 20,000 square feet. Residents opposing the zoning amendment want to allow Dartmouth-Hitchcock to build in Bedford saying well-connected businessmen would financially benefit by preventing plans for the nonprofit to build a new health center in Bedford. Bill Greiner, one of the petitioners opposing Dartmouth-Hitchcock, said the amendment has to do with making sure the town maximizes tax revenue in its main commercial district. On March 8, Bedford voters will decide. You can read the full story here (with a subscription): (The Union Leader)
