House Speaker says it's 'disheartening that the unfounded speculation and accusations have dishonored those impacted by the tragic events in Boston.'

House Speaker Terie Norelli (D-Portsmouth), after a state representative's comment that the Boston Marathon bombings may have been a implored fellow lawmakers not to "engage in fear mongering."

Norelli joined a growing chorus of New Hampshire leaders distancing themselves from Rep. Stella Tremblay (R-Auburn), and condemning her comment first made Friday on Glenn Beck's Facebook page. Rep. Rick Watrous (D-Concord) said that, too, was inappropriate.

"I was shocked that Rep. Tremblay forwarded an email entitled 'you are a (expletive) idiot' to all NH state representatives and senators," Watrous emailed in response to a Patch query about it. "She appears to be standing behind her conspiracy accusations and wants to involve the whole legislature. I believe her statements and actions are wrong."
