NHPR marks 40th anniversary of the Challenger disaster with Remembering Christa (nhpr.org) — Concord residents are invited to share their memories of Christa McAuliffe, the beloved Concord High School teacher and astronaut whose legacy still resonates 40 years after the Challenger disaster. NHPR will air a month-long January audio series featuring New Hampshire voices, archival audio, and personal reflections on how Christa’s life, teaching, and mission continue to shape education and civic imagination across the state.

Christmas Eve fire displaces family in Webster (concordmonitor.com) — Concord firefighters were among several area departments that rushed to Webster on Christmas Eve to battle a house fire that destroyed a family’s home on White Plains Road. All six residents escaped safely, though one cat died, and the house is currently uninhabitable.
