Elderly Epsom Man Injured In Northumberland Snowmobile Crash
The operator was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash; inattention in regard to trail conditions is considered a contributing factor.

NORTHUMBERLAND, NH — Shortly before 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, New Hampshire Fish & Game Conservation Officers were notified of a man who had been injured as a result of a snowmobile crash and was being treated for his injuries at a local hospital. The initial call provided information that the crash occurred on Corridor 5 and the injured party had been transported to Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster by personal vehicle.
Upon receiving this report, officers responded to the hospital to conduct a follow up investigation with the man, 69, from Epsom. After an interview with the man and an investigation of his snowmobile, it was learned that he had failed to navigate a turn while traveling southbound on Corridor 5 and was thrown from his snowmobile. With assistance from a friend, he was able to drive his snowmobile less than a mile to Route 3 where bystanders provided additional help.
Due to the potentially serious nature of the injury he was then transported to Weeks Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
