Motorcyclist Busted Going 152 MPH

NH State Police: Mass. man charged with felony reckless conduct at Hooksett tolls on I-93.

New Hampshire State Police arrested a Massachusetts man and charged him with felony reckless conduct after a trooper said he clocked the motorcyclist going 130- to 152- mph on Interstate 93 on Saturday.

Trooper Eric Shirley, who was driving in an unmarked Dodge Charger behind the man at one point, reported that Edson Jose Barbosa, 55, of Stoneham, Mass., accelerated ahead of him on a black 2012 Suzuki GSXR 1300CC cafe style motorcycle, police said. The motorcyclist was allegedly weaving in and out of congested traffic southbound in the area of New Hampton as he reached those high speeds.

Shirley did not attempt to pursue and stop the motorcyclist, given the distance ahead of him, but he radioed ahead to troopers who apprehended the motorcyclist when he stopped at the Hooksett Toll Plaza to pay the toll.
