3-Alarm Apartment Fire In Ossipee Leads To Multiple Injuries
Multiple 911 calls reported tenants jumping from windows to escape the fire and smoke at a large apartment building fire Thursday.
OSSIPEE, NH — Multiple calls came into 911 for a multi-unit apartment building on Route 16 in Ossipee for a fire with multiple people jumping from the third floor Thursday. On arrival they had heavy fire showing and immediately went to a third alarm. Multiple people were reported in need of EMS.
Tw0 DHART medical helicopters were requested to Huggins Hospital. Multiple ambulances transported patients from the scene.
Firefighters, and police assisted multiple occupants to safety. Occupants huddled outside of the fire watching firefighters fight the flames in heavy wind conditions.

As the fire was still active several dogs, cats and a turtle were rescued. Two dogs were brought out to an awaiting vehicle (video) and were being transported to the Humane society to be evaluated.
As of 3:30 p.m., firefighters continued to work on extinguishing the fire.
