Son Charged In Connection With Homicide Of His Mother In Belmont

Nicholas Murphy has been charged with the murder of his mother at her home in mid-March.

BELMONT, NH — NH Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announced that Nicholas Murphy, 31 has been charged for the murder of his mother Pamela Murphy, 62, at her home in Belmont on March 16, 2020 Nicholas Murphy has been charged with two alternative counts of second degree murder, RSA 630:1-b, one for knowingly causing the death of Pamela Murphy by means of homicidal violence, and the other for recklessly causing her death, under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, by means of homicidal violence.

It is anticipated that Nicholas Murphy will be arraigned at Belknap County Superior Court on April 17, 2020.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and Nicholas Murphy is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
