NH State Police Investigating Body Of Deceased Person Found Floating Near The Isles Of Shoals
The person was found on Sunday morning by a person on a fishing vessel in the area.
RYE, NH — New Hampshire State Police said Thursday the department is investigating a dead body found floating in the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday.
Around 9:15 a.m., a person on a fishing vessel near the Isles of Shoals spotted the body in the water and called the U.S. Coast Guard.
“The Coast Guard relayed the information to members of the New Hampshire State Police-Marine Patrol, who responded and recovered the body,” a report stated. “The investigation is ongoing to determine the person’s identity, as well as their cause and manner of death.”

State police said there were no known threats to the public at this time in connection with the incident.
