Northborough MA Felon Faces Firearm, Falsifying Evidence Charges In Hampton NH: Follow-Up

Update: Connor Knowles was accused of firing a gun and resisting arrest on Thursday night in the area of Ocean Boulevard and G Street.

HAMPTON, NH — A Bay State felon is facing new felony charges after being accused of firing a gun on Hampton Beach on Thursday night.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers and others were sent to the area of Ocean Boulevard and G Street for a report of gunfire. Officers formed a perimeter around the scene. Investigators found the firearm as well as a person of interest matching the description of the suspect, Hampton Police Chief Alex Reno said.

The suspect was identified as Connor Knowles, 21, of Northborough, Massachusetts. He was charged with felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and falsifying physical evidence charges, all felonies, as well as criminal trespass and resisting arrest or detention.

Police do not have a motive in the case and it is an open investigation. Reno said no injuries were reported, there was no threat to the public, and more charges may be forthcoming.

Knowles was scheduled to be arraigned at Hampton District Court on Friday morning.

Reno also said the New Hampshire State Police troopers, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department, and officers from Epping, Exeter, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, and Kensingston assisted.
