Suspect Shoots Man In The Face With A Flare Gun: Hampton Police
Elton Stanley of no fixed address was accused of seriously injuring another man at Speedway on Lafayette Road Thursday. Have you seen him?
HAMPTON, NH — Police investigating an assault in Hampton on Thursday after asking for the public’s help finding a suspect accused of shooting another person in the face with a flare gun.
Around 4 p.m., police were sent to the Speedway gas station on Lafayette Road for a report of an assault. When they arrived, they found one person with “sustained apparent serious injury,” according to Hampton Chief Alex Reno. The person was taken to the hospital by Hampton Fire Rescue and is stable.
The second person, identified later as Elton Stanley, 37, with no fixed address, fled the area.

“All involved parties were identified by police,” Reno said. “At this time, the Hampton Police Department is attempting to locate the other individual.”
Stanley is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighs around 170 pounds. He was wearing black sweatpants and a black hoodie at the time of the incident. Stanley’s head was covered, but he has dreadlocks now. He was also riding a bicycle, police said.

Reno said Stanley was accused of shooting the other victim in the face with a flare gun. When found, he will be charged with felony second-degree assault and reckless conduct.
Speedway will reopen tomorrow.
