• Man charged in deadly crash has trial dates set; settlement conference set for July (unionleader.com) — Court dates are now set in a major Manchester case involving a 24-year-old local man charged in a crash that killed an 11-month-old girl near Spruce Street. A settlement conference is scheduled for July 2026, and if no plea deal is reached, trial is planned for November. The defendant remains held without bail while the family has opted out of negotiations. 
• New Hampshire man charged with OUI after driving wrong way on Maine Turnpike, police say (wmtw.com) — A 22-year-old Manchester resident was arrested after allegedly driving the wrong way on the Maine Turnpike near Kennebunk and crashing into the median. Police say he showed signs of impairment and now faces multiple charges, including criminal OUI and aggravated reckless conduct. Two southbound lanes of I-95 were temporarily closed during the investigation.
• Flu season taking its toll early (unionleader.com) — Flu cases are rising across New Hampshire, with an infection prevention officer at Manchester’s Elliot Hospital warning that local cases are likely to keep increasing through the holidays. A Fremont school even closed after nearly a third of students were out sick, and state health officials report moderate flu activity in Hillsborough County. Experts urge vaccination, staying home when ill, and basic hygiene to slow the spread.
