Breakfast With Santa, Doo Wop Christmas, and a Detour

Planning your week? Here are some things you need to know to get it started.

Doo Wop Christmas. Join the Merrimack Public Library for a night of holiday music with doo wop and oldies quintet the Bel Airs on Wednesday, Dec. 4. This is a free event, but registration is required. Register for the event online, by phone at 603-424-5021 or in person at the library.

Breakfast With Santa. Mastricola Elementary School is holding breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7, with seatings at 8 and 9 a.m. Tickets are $5 per person and include pancakes, orange juice, milk and coffee. Gluten free pancakes are also available. Walk-ins will be accepted but it's recommended tickets are purchased in advance. For an additional $5 you get a digital photo taken with Santa, taken by local photographer Amy Bewley. There will also be some holiday raffle baskets to win. All proceeds benefit students at MES. Tree lighting rescheduled. Due to Sunday's inclement weather, the annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting have been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. 

Manchester Road detour. A reminder that the bridge on Manchester Road at the Merrimack/Nashua town line will be closed starting today, through the spring of 2015. Read more here.

Planning Board. The Merrimack Planning Board will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room. Among agenda items is a review for acceptance and consideration of final approval of an application proposing consolidation and re-subdivision of four residential lots into 13 cluster residential lots. Town Council. The Town Council will meet on Thursday in the Matthew Thornton Room at 7 p.m. On the agenda is the follow up discussion with the Merrimack Youth Association regarding the continuation of their contract with the town. Get the full agenda on the town website.
