Drug, Alcohol and Trespassing Charges for Man Leaving 'Posted' Area

A Nashua man was arrested by Merrimack Police on Saturday after the truck he was driving was spotted leaving an area of town heavily posted with "No Trespassing" signs.

Police charged Dany Michaud20, of 20 Chester St., Nashua, with criminal trespassing, operating under the influence of liquor/under the age of 21, possession of marijuana and transporting marijuana in a motor vehicle on Nov. 23.

Police say an officer patrolling Mast Road observed a Chevy 1500 leaving the wooded area near the railroad tracks on Mast Road and stopped it for being on posted land.    

While speaking with Michaud, the officer said he detected signs of alcohol impairment and after a brief investigation, Michaud arrested for criminal trespassing and OUIL. It was then that police say they also found a small amount of marijuana in the truck. 

Michaud was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in the Merrimack district court on Dec. 3 to answer to the charges.

A female passenger was also taken into protective custody, during the arrest, and released to a friend.
