Greetings!
A special thank you to those that voted and worked the Merrimack polls on General Election Day 2024! Thank you for voting for my colleagues and me as we begin a new legislative session on December 4, 2024. It was great seeing so many voters at the polls!
For this Legislative Update, I thought you would be interested in some further voting statistics in Merrimack.

As of the November 5, 2024 General Election, there are now 20,815 registered voters in Merrimack. After the September 10, 2024 Primary there were 18,444 registered voters in Merrimack.
The current population of Merrimack is 28,971 per the NH Office of Planning & Development estimate.

Of those registered to vote in Merrimack, the breakdown is now as follows as of November 5, 2024:
- Republicans – 7,292
- Democrats – 5,212
- Undeclared – 8,311

Newly elected State Representatives are sworn in on December 4, 2024 to start the new biennium. The Republicans control the NH House with an estimated majority of approximate 222 Republican State Representatives. The State Senate is Republican 16-8. There are recounts scheduled throughout the state.
The filing period for new House legislation for next year is November 6-22, 2024.
