GSC Persuasive Speaking Class and Arlene's Speech in Merrimack!
Dan from the Manchester campus of Granite State College won Table Topics and Arlene presented an informative team building skills speech!
At this week's Merrimack Motivators Toastmasters Club, we had a full and exciting meeting.
Our President Lauren and Sargent At Arms Kathy presented the Smedley award for our achievements over the past year.
Lauren also kicked off the meeting, providing the theme of "challenges," which is very fitting for getting up in front of people to speak.

Plus, Karen provided us a humorous speech on trying to get out of speeding tickets in New Jersey.
In Joe's impromptu speaking or Table Topics portion of the meeting, we all took a chance to spin the wheel to see what question we would have to answer.
Manchester CC speaking student Dan accepted the Table Topics challenge and was voted as the best speaker in this category this week with his story about his father.
Can you believe we did all of this in an hour‽
And new guests are always welcome.

The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate.
By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.Visit www.toastmasters.org for more information.
