Merrimack and Amherst Are Thankful For...

Today is the day, and this is the season when we are most aware of all of the things we are thankful for in our lives. 

This year, as always, I'm thankful for good health and the wonderful friends and family in my life. I'm also thankful for a things I have that I know others are struggling to keep – a good job, food on the table every night, a roof over my head.

We asked Merrimack and Amherst residents what they are thankful for this holiday season. Below are the responses we received and we'd love to hear from you in the comments, too:

Melissa Chamberlin Watson: My brand new baby girl born this morning!

Dianne Connelly: Just finding out that 3 yrs later and I'm still cancer-free & finally breaking my medical mystery with a trip to Maryland in April...then having the most miraculous brain decompression/craniocervical fusion surgery by the most amazing neurosurgeon who helped to restore hope on so many levels. I am forever grateful.

Lindsay Stevens: My family , friends & our community who always comes together to support those in need! Happy holiday season!

Fred Briger Jr.: This is our first year having Thanksgiving in our new home in Bartlett Common. Barb and I are thankful that we can entertain our family in New Hampshire. 20 + will be enjoying a turkey diner together and thanking The Lord that we can enjoy this Thanksgiving day.

Amy McFarland Bewley: I am thankful for my family, my friends, the teachers who teach my children, my neighbors who are always willing to lend each other (and me) a helping hand and for living in such a wonderful town. Moving to Merrimack 9 years ago the week of Thanksgiving was the best decision my husband and I ever made!
