Merrimack Fire And Police Respond To Vehicle Off Bedford Road
A trauma alert was activated for the man driving the vehicle that went off across a lawn and crashed into trees on Bedford Road.
MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack Fire Rescue and police responded to a vehicle that had left Bedford Road and crashed into a cluster of trees Monday.
At about 3:30 p.m., the original dispatch reported airbag deployment on the vehicle and one person still in the car. Additional fire personnel were added to the call due to possible entrapment.
When firefighters arrived, they reported an unconscious man and activated a trauma alert at the Elliot Hospital. The man was quickly extricated from the vehicle and transported by firefighters and medics to the hospital.

The accident appear to have begun when the vehicle left the road near the intersection of Wire Road, continued across Bedford Road, a lawn, and came to rest in a small wooded area just past Lois Lane.
The Merrimack Police are performing a details accident investigation and are expected to be at the scene for several hours. The road will have lane restrictions and closures while the scene is investigated.

Based on information gathered at the scene, the accident is possibly attributed to a medical condition. All possible causes remain under investigation, and at this time, no determination has been made.
