Merrimack Firefighters Rescue Construction Worker Having Medical Emergency
A worker at a house on Captain Bannon Circle experienced heat-related medical issues. Firefighters used a ladder truck to rescue him.
MERRIMACK, NH - Merrimack Fire Rescue responded to a medical emergency at a construction site on Captain Bannon Circle on Tuesday.
On arrival, they found a construction worker in the attic area under construction and suffering from dehydration and heat-related medical issues.
The worker was unable to walk and required firefighters to set up a technical rescue so they could remove him from the structure.

Crews requested the Merrimack ladder truck to respond to the scene to assist the Engine crew and medics.
The ladder truck was set up while the firefighters provided medical aid to the worker, set up an IV, and placed him in a Stokes basket.

Crews worked to load the Stokes basket into the bucket portion of the ladder truck and lowered him to the ground, where medical treatment continued.
The worker was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for medical care.
