Merrimack High School Top 10: Avery Hui, No. 8
Student body president and treasurer Avery plans to continue her education at the University of Georgia in the fall, majoring in Economics.

MERRIMACK, NH — Avery Hui is honored to be a part of the Merrimack High School Class of 2024’s Top 10.
She would like to thank her parents, sister, and friends, who have supported her for the past four years. Throughout high school, Avery has enjoyed taking many classes, especially in U.S. History, Mandarin, and English subjects. She would like to thank her many amazing teachers who have impacted her education but especially Mr. Ducharme, Mrs. Xu, Mrs. Dutton, and Mr. Hall, who have all tremendously helped Avery get to where she is.
Outside of the classroom, Avery has taken an interest in many extracurriculars. She has been a member of the student council for four years, serving as both student body president and class treasurer. Additionally, she is a four-year varsity letter winner in both softball and field hockey, leading both teams as captain during her senior year. During her junior and senior years, Avery has participated in National Honor Society as the public relations officer, along with volunteering as a math tutor in Math National Honor Society. She has enjoyed volunteering in the Merrimack community through both National Honor Society and Interact Club opportunities.

In the summer, Avery loves working at Naticook Day Camp as a lifeguard, along with hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and traveling in her free time. Avery plans on continuing her education at the University of Georgia in the fall, where she will major in Economics. She also plans on continuing to study Mandarin and hopes to study abroad in her undergraduate years. She is excited for the continuing opportunities college will offer.
