Merrimack High School Top 10: Charvi Chandrasekaran, No. 2
Chandrasekaran is honored to be the salutatorian of the Class of 2024. She congratulates her classmates and wishes them all the best.

MERRIMACK, NH — Charvi Chandrasekaran is honored to be the salutatorian of the Class of 2024.
She is extremely grateful for her parents, her brother, Samarth, teachers, coaches, and her extended family for their support and encouragement.
During her academic journey, Charvi has maintained a rigorous course load, including over 10 AP classes. In addition to the curriculum offered by the high school, she enrolled in online courses for AP Biology, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science. Charvi is a recipient of the Excellence in Mathematics award and is a part of the Mathematics National Honor Society.

Outside of the classroom, Charvi is a dual sport athlete. She is a part of the track and field team, where she is a tri-sport (shot put, discus, and javelin) throwing athlete, and she attended the state-level competition. During the winter season, she played basketball at the JV and Varsity level. She won the coach’s award during the sophomore season and was captain of the JV team for the Junior season. Lastly, in her senior year, she was awarded the NHIAA & NHADA Scholar Athlete award.
Throughout high school, Charvi has enjoyed being part of many extracurricular activities aside from sports. Charvi is involved in the Random Acts of Kindness club and feels honored to be the president of such a noble activity. Her fondest memory would be making no-sew blankets for the homeless in Manchester to help protect them from harsh cold conditions. Then, as a member of the National Honor Society and Interact Club, she dedicates her time to volunteering at library sales, leaf raking for senior citizens, Elementary school craft fairs, and Parks and Recreation events. During the summer, she also volunteers her time as a counselor for Camp Invention to mentor younger children in STEM.

Furthermore, dance and music have been a passion for Charvi from a very young age. Along with various high school engagements, she is also a Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical) dancer. She has performed at numerous cultural events and won many competitions with her dance team. She is also the founder, president, and choreographer of the MHS Dance team. She strives to include various dance styles, such as Bollywood, Latin dance, and Irish step dance. While performing at cultural events, she hopes to show others the diversity present in our community and that everyone's culture should be acknowledged and appreciated.
