Merrimack High School Top 10: Luca Kabel, No. 6
Class of 2025 student Luca Kabel is attending Springfield College in Massachusetts, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.
MERRIMACK, NH — Luca is honored to have a spot in the Top 10 of Merrimack High School’s class of 2025.
He would like to thank his family, friends, teachers, coaches, and teammates for having a positive impact, throughout his journey at Merrimack High School. He would like to give a special thanks to his Mom and Dad for always being there for him.
Throughout high school, Luca took many rigorous courses, including 5 AP courses, and 9 honors courses. Luca most enjoyed his time in AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Calculus. Luca is also proud and grateful to be the recipient of a Calculus award his junior year, earning the New Hampshire Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, along with being a member of the National Honors Society.

Luca competed in several sports throughout high school, playing a sport in every season of high school. Luca tallied 3 years of varsity soccer, 4 years of varsity indoor track, 1 year of varsity baseball, and 2 years of varsity outdoor track. Due to Luca’s commitments on and off the field, he was selected as a NHIAA Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. Luca was also recently a state championship qualifier in indoor track and field. His efforts were good enough for him to place 6th in the 55 meter dash, 5th in the Long Jump, and 8th in the 300 meter dash. Luca was also a recipient of the NHIAA D1 All-State Honorable Mention Award for his efforts during the soccer season in the fall of his senior year.
Besides athletics, Luca has also enjoyed being a Mentor in the Merrimack Mentors club, a tutor for the National Math Honors Society, and a member of the Science National Honors Society.

Luca is excited to continue his academic expedition this fall by attending Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. There, he will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Health Science: Pre-Physical Therapy to Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Luca will also continue his passion for track and field on Springfield College’s track and field team.
