Merrimack High School Top 10: Maya Stubbs, No. 5

Maya will study aerospace engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall with a presidential scholarship and grant.

Maya Stubbs is honored to be a Top 5 student for the class of 2024.

She would like to thank her family, friends, teachers, and coaches for helping her throughout her time at MHS and congratulate her fellow students for their hard work these past four years.

Having especially loved math and science, Maya will study Aerospace Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall with a Presidential Scholarship and Grant.

Maya has performed well with a rigorous course schedule and many AP classes while still staying active as Captain of the Varsity Field Hockey team, Track and Field athlete, and Varsity tennis player. She is a member of multiple National Honors Society and has been a member of many clubs, such as Interact, Ski Club, and the Math Team.

Maya also volunteers at the local elementary schools and helps run an annual Intramural Field Hockey Camp for young athletes.

With so many interests, Maya has loved spending her time at MHS taking various classes, such as Advanced Pottery and True Crime, allowing her to gain skills in many different areas of study. Outside of school, Maya loves playing the guitar, cooking and baking, music, snowboarding, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She is grateful for the experiences high school has brought her and is excited about what the next four years will bring!
