Merrimack High School Top 10: Sara Chhetri, No. 8

Class of 2025 student Sara Chhetri will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of public health this fall.

MERRIMACK, NH — Sara Chhetri is honored to be recognized as a Top 10 student for the Merrimack High School Class of 2025.

She is extremely thankful for her friends and family for their support and encouragement over the last four years. She is also grateful for her teachers, and would like to especially thank Ms. Ryan for helping her get to where she is today.

Throughout high school, Sara has excelled in various AP and Honors classes, with her favorite subjects being English and Psychology. In addition to academics, Sara has enjoyed taking part in various extracurricular activities. She has been a member of the MHS Dance Team for four years, stepping into the president and co-choreographer role her senior year. In this role, she teaches routines that showcase dance styles of South Asia and organizes performance opportunities with the hope of spreading culture and diversity within the local community.

Sara is also part of the Interact Club and serves as Secretary of the National Honor Society at MHS, through which she has volunteered at book sales, leaf raking, and other events. She is a longtime member of the New Hampshire Nepali Youth Network for Nepalese students all over New Hampshire. Through this group, Sara has participated in countless community service projects under the non-profit organization, the New Hampshire Nepali Community (NHNC).

Additionally, she is a member of the National Math Honor Society and National Science Honor Society, and hopes to continue exhibiting her passion for giving back as she enters college. Sara will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of public health this fall.
