Merrimack High School Top 10: Wayne Alexander, No. 2
The Class of 2025 Salutatorian will be studying finance on a pre-law track. He is thankful for the memories, experiences during high school.

MERRIMACK, NH — Wayne Alexander is honored to be the salutatorian of Merrimack High School’s Class of 2025.
He would like to thank his family, friends, and teachers for supporting him and his educational journey.
Throughout high school, Wayne took many challenging courses, including eight AP and numerous dual enrollment and honors classes. Wayne particularly enjoyed AP Economics, AP Gov, Honors Chemistry, and AP Spanish. He is proud of his academic accomplishments, including earning the New Hampshire Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and a spot as a National History Day State Finalist.

During high school, Wayne competed in several sports, earning a varsity spot in golf, indoor track, and tennis. Outside of school sports, Wayne also enjoys skiing and hiking. As a result of his dedication to academic and athletic achievement, Wayne was selected as an NHIAA Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
In addition to his athletic achievement, Wayne was actively involved in extracurriculars and community service. He served as an officer of the Interact Club, the treasurer of the National Honor Society, and a tutor for the National Math Honor Society. Wayne was also a member of the quiz bowl team, Science National Honor Society, student council, and chess club. Wayne is grateful for the many volunteer opportunities he has participated in during high school and hopes to continue this involvement in the future.

Wayne is thankful for the memories and experiences he has had throughout high school. He looks forward to continuing his academic journey, where he will be studying finance on a pre-law track.
