Merrimack Rollover Accident Involves Two Vehicles And A Motorcycle

MERRIMACK, NH - An accident involving three vehicles at Wire Road and Bedford Road Wednesday left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

Merrimack Police and Merrimack Fire and Rescue responded to a rollover motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles and a motorcycle at about 2:45 p.m.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the motorcycle operator on the ground with what appeared to be serious injuries. The other two vehicles had heavy damage.

Mark McAllister, of Bedford, operating a 2009 Harley Davidson, was identified by police as the motorcyclist. He was suffering serious injuries, which were described as appearing not to be life-threatening he was transported to the Elliott Hospital.

Operators of the other two vehicles were evaluated by Merrimack Fire and Rescue and refused medical attention at the scene.

Preliminary investigation determined that all three vehicles were traveling north on Wire Road near the intersection of Bedford Road. A Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by Paul Repp, 42 of Merrimack, approached the intersection without slowing or stopping and struck the motorcycle.

After striking the motorcycle, the Santa Fe struck a Toyota Tacoma, operated by Matthew Cummings, 67 of Merrimack. When the Tacoma was struck, it appeared to be in the middle of a turn, causing it to roll over.

The Merrimack Police Department Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating the incident. Police say driver inattention may have been a factor.

The roadway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Police say all aspects of this incident are under investigation, and charges may be forthcoming.
