Kick Off Holidays on Sunday With Parade, Tree Lighting

Santa and Mrs. Claus to visit ceremony a after the parade is done.

The Town of Merrimack’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce that the annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Sunday, Dec. 1, starting at 3 p.m. The parade route will begin at The Commons Shopping Plaza. Traveling South on Daniel Webster Highway and will finish at Abbie Griffin Park for the Tree Lighting Ceremony.  All families are encouraged to join Merrimack Parks and Recreation for this festive event and help Santa count down to light the Christmas tree! After the Tree Lighting Ceremony, Santa and Mrs. Claus will meet with the children to hear their wishes!  Merrimack Girl Scouts will offer free cookies and refreshments during the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Join with Parks and Rec as they welcome the holiday season!  All citizens, pets, organizations and businesses are welcome to participate. The theme for this year’s parade is “Holidays Around the World”.  A rain date of Sunday, Dec. 8, has been set.
