School Officials Present $68.7M Budget
School officials cite rising health insurance costs as one of the reasons why they are seeking a 2.63 percent increase over the current budget.

Merrimack residents found out on Wednesday night how much it will cost them to send their kids to the public schools in 2014-2015 after school officials unveiled a proposed $68.7 million budget, according to The Telegraph.
The proposed spending package of $68,728,290 that was presented in the Merrimack High School cafeteria represents an increase of $1.76 million, or 2.63 percent, from the current school budget of more than $66.9 million, due to an increase of $1.1 million in health insurance costs, according to the Nashua newspaper.
