Successful Blood Pressure Clinic at Nashua YMCA

Partnership with St. Joseph Hospital and Rivier University Nursing Department

Yesterday the Y partnered with St. Joseph Hospital and Rivier University Department of Nursing to host a free community-wide Blood Pressure Clinic at the Nashua YMCA. “The clinic was a great success! We had 108 patient visits over the two hours.," said Kim Adie, Director of Healthy Living. As a bonus yesterday, the three Rivier University students that volunteered also hosted a stuffed animal clinic and shared with the Y’s “Schools Out” students about the importance of healthy habits like good nutrition and regular exercise.

"St. Joseph Hospital's Mobile Health Clinic recognizes partnerships are essential for community-based solutions to advance health equity. By collaborating on health and wellness initiatives, our partnership with the YMCA is an opportunity to connect with community members and provide screenings along with education to increase awareness and improve outcomes," said Rosemary Ford, Director of St. Joseph Hospital's Mobile Health Clinic.
