Superdogs Daycare Expanding
Dog daycare and grooming business to build 11,000 square-foot facility this spring.

Judy and Mark Threlfall have wanted to expand their doggie daycare and grooming business on the Daniel Webster Highway for some time, but they needed the Planning Board to waive a requirement to build a sidewalk first.
Earlier this month, the Planning Board voted, 6-0-1, to give their business, Superdogs Daycare, a waiver paving the way for them to begin construction on a new 11,000 square foot facility that will provide daycare, grooming and training for canines.
According to Judy Threlfall, the tipping point came when the New Hampshire Department of Transportation communicated to the Planning Board they did not approve of the sidewalk requirement because it could damage state DOT snow plows whenever they have to clear the state highway.
She said the couple, which has operated their business for three years, hopes to begin construction of the new facility this spring. She said it will take about four to six months to complete. “We would like to start March 1,” she added.
“It will be a lot more easier for us to manage,” she said. “It is more geared toward the care and comfort of the dogs.”
She also said the new facility will have an apartment for her and her husband. They may also add a few new jobs, she said. Currently, Superdogs has about nine staff members.
