Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

My mom truly loves the children and families she gets to work with. She works with many children who require a dedicated para professional that require one-on-one assistance. My mom has such love to give to all her students. She treats her students as if they were her own children and would do anything to help make sure they can understand the materials being taught. From silly songs, games, and mnemonics, she gives it her all to help children learn in their own unique way. My mom is also her students biggest cheerleader. You can often find her at her students baseball games clapping and cheering just as loud as any of the parents. She truly loves what she does and has the biggest heart.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

That her love of her students extends beyond the classroom. Growing up with anxiety, my mom always pushed to advocate for me to feel comfortable in the classroom — she extends the same to her students. They know that “Mrs.L” is always there to talk something out or listen.
