Town Council to Tackle $30.7M Proposed Budget
School Board to hold budget hearing on Monday night; volunteers needed to serve on town boards.

Town Council begins budget review: The Merrimack Town Council will hold two budget review meetings this week to look at the 2014 proposed $30.7 million spending package. The council will meet on Monday at 6 p.m. at Town Hall and again on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. The proposed budget can be viewed on the town's web site.
School Board continues budget review: The Merrimack School Board will also meet on Monday at 7 p.m. at Merrimack High School to continue its review of the proposed $68.7 million school budget.
Other town business: The Town Center Committee will meet at Town Hall at 12 p.m. on Monday and the Parks and Recreation Committee will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
Volunteers needed: Several town boards and committees need members of the community who wish to volunteer their time and expertise. The openings are listed on the town's web site. If interested, please contact the Town Manager's office.
Need to get rid of your Christmas tree: The town's Transfer Station will continue to accept Christmas trees in the brush pile free of charge for residents who need a place to dispose of their trees.
School bus drivers needed: The Merrimack Schools are also seeking some part-time school bus drivers. More details can be found here.
