Why Was That Helicopter Flying Around Town?
Public Service of New Hampshire officials were checking their power lines in town today.
Some Merrimack residents may have seen a low flying helicopter buzzing around town on Monday and wondered why it was around?
The answer was provided by the Merrimack Police Department earlier today:
"Just a heads-up from PSNH: They're doing helicopter fly-overs today along several service lines in Town. Don't be surprised by the sudden appearance of a low-flying helicopter!" reads an e-mail from the police.
PSNH officials regularly conduct these activities to check the condition of their utility lines in different communities with an infrared camera.
