Latha Mangipudi has won over opponent Carl Andrade after "human error" relegated her votes to the wrong pile during a hand count. Whether you care about this election or not, there are a few lessons here – like always ask for a recount, never give up, human error happens, and the agony of defeat is sometimes unexpectedly followed by the thrill of victory.
