5 Things: Seeking Santa, Bid on an Auction, Stolen Passwords

1. Tracking Santa: Move over NORAD: Google has unwrapped its Santa tracker website, along with Android and Google Glass apps. You can visit Google Santa Tracker  now and you will be able to visit Santa's village, stocked with cartoon elves and fun games. Much like NORAD's site, Google will release new games every day. One will allow you to race reindeer and another will let you drop presents down a chimney. But on Dec. 25, it's all about tracking Santa. Read more at abcnews.com

2. Wanna Buy a Mansion? Check out the Frederick Anderson House on Concord Street, a historic mansion, which goes up for auction next week. You can take a tour today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. Internet Insecurity: From the BBC - news that more than 2 million passwords for sites including Facebook, Yahoo, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google have been stolen and posted online, BBC reports. Security firm Trustwave has discovered the trove of login credentials, email credentials and passwords, it announced on Tuesday. Security experts told BBC that a criminal gang may be behind the security breach. The stolen information can be used to extract people's personal information from the websites, which can then be sold, according to BBC. Read the story here on the BBC website.

4. Billy Joel at the Park: This just in: Billy Joel will perform once a month at Madison Square Garden - as long as the fans will have him, according to a British news outlet. The Grammy Award-winning singer announced that he'll perform a residency at the New York venue every month for as long as there is a demand. Shows are set for January 27, February 3, March 21 and April 28. He will also perform on his 65th birthday (May 9). "We're gonna dust off some stuff. We're gonna feature more of the album tracks, more obscure songs. We'll still do some songs people are familiar with and like, but we're gonna change it up. It gives you an edge," Joel said.

5. Beat the Rush to Beats: You can now reserve your user name for Beats, a new subscription music service ready to launch in 2014. The service was founded byDr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. No word yet on why everyone will want to sign up for Beats. Stay tuned.
