5 Things: Thursday is Free Slurpee Day

1. 7-Eleven Day on 7/11: Every year on July 11 your friends at 7-Eleven give out free small Slurpees to everybody between the hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Set your reminder app and go get yours tomorrow! Also, watch the video uploaded here for some awesome 7-Eleven Day moves
2. Elisabeth Hasselbeck Takes Her View Elsewhere: She got her start as a reality TV contestant and built a reputation as a lone conservative voice from a chorus of liberal talking heads on "The View." Now, Elizabeth Hasselbeck is taking her opinions and moving on to "Fox and Friends," where she will serve as co-host, after a 10-year run on ABC. 3. In Other 'View' Host Ex-Pat News: Former 'View' cohort Meredith Viera, who was also at one time a "Today" co-anchor and long-running "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" host is getting her own show.  The "Meredith Vieira Show," is slated to begin airing in September 2014. Oh, Woe is Us: Can anyone ever fill the Oprah-shaped hole left in our collective talk-show souls?
4. Blood Donors Urgently Needed: Donations are down around the country this time of year, according to the American Red Cross, making today's WZID 'Chill 'n' Grill' Blood Drive right on time. Event begins at 11 a.m. at Nashua High South, 36 Riverside Drive Nashua - lots of perks and fun activities for he kids, so stop by, roll up your sleeve and make a little bit of difference in your corner of this big world.
5. Bach's Lunch Today: Another wonderful aspect of life in Nashua is this delightful summertime lunch series, Bach's Lunch. On tap today: International String Trio, which will delight you to no end. Not recommended for children under age 5. Happening at the Nashua Public Library, 2 Court Street, starting at noon.
