8th Annual Nashua Fishing Derby July 13

The Nashua Parks & Recreation Dept., along with the Horse Pond Fish & Game Club, US Fish Hatchery and Nashua Police Athletic League, announce the 8th Annual SummerFun Fishing Derby, to be held Saturday July 13 from 9 am-11am at the Horse Pond Fish & Game Club on Horsepond Ave, just north of the Nashua Mall on Broad St.The Fishing Derby is open to aspiring fisherman 5-12 years of age. There is no charge for the always popular family fun event. All fishermen bring their own pole (no fly rods allowed) and bait is available for all who need it. All fishermen need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be prizes for the following categories: First Fish Caught, Biggest Fish Caught and, Most Fish Caught. In addition there will be raffle prizes drawn after the award ceremony. Registration begins at 8am at the Horse Pond Fish & Game Clubhouse. After the award ceremony all fishermen and their families are invited to a cookout up at the clubhouse for hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks.
