Meetings at a Glance: Board of Aldermen Meet Monday For a Change

Why the meeting was moved to Monday night, what's on tap for tonight's meeting and what you missed last time.

Tonight's Board of Aldermen was moved from the usual Tuesday (July 9) to Monday July 8 for two reasons - Board President Brian McCarthy and Vice President Lori Wilshire were both unavailable for the July 9 meeting, and construction begins on July 10 to do some electrical work under the desks in the Aldermanic chambers, making a move to Wednesday not an option.

Construction inside the chamber is expected to take about a week.

The board could have opted to have the meeting on July 9 as scheduled and appointed another Alderman to lead the meeting, but voted to move the meeting to Monday instead.

Uploaded here is this week's agenda and last meeting's full minutes, for your review.
