Brother Ruled Incompetent for Trial in Murder of Sister
Duane Rolfe remains on medication in prison.

Duane Rolfe, accused of bludgeoning his sister to death in January, has been ruled incompetent to stand trial, as reported Wednesday by Joe Cote of the Nashua Telegraph.
Judge Diane Nicolosi ruled that Rolfe, 65, was not fit to stand trial. His status will be revisited in one year, at which time he likely will be committed to serve five-year incremental terms in a psychiatric ward, if still deemed incompetent.

Rolfe was arrested January 19, charged with murdering his sister Judith, with whom he had resided his entire life in a small home on Belmont Street.
Rolfe was indicted in April by a Grand Jury on two counts of murder – first degree murder for purposely causing the death of his sister, Judith Rolfe, by striking her repeatedly with a blunt object; and second-degree murder for recklessly causing her death by "manifesting an extreme indifference to human life."
