Congressional Hopeful Gary Lambert on Lois Lerner

Gary Lambert, a Republican running for New Hampshire's 2nd District seat in Congress, issued the following statement on the House Oversight Committee's vote to hold former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress.

"The Obama administration has made clear they will not conduct a real investigation of Lois Lerner and the IRS scandal. Therefore, I fully support the House Oversight Committee’s action today to move forward with contempt of Congress charges. Using the IRS as a political weapon is unacceptable and un-American. The American people need real answers about why conservatives were targeted and intimidated by their own government and, more importantly, how do we make sure it never happens again."
